Sony recently announced that the fourth entry into Naughty Dog‘s Uncharted series is set to be delayed – again. Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End has been pushed back to April 26, 2016, essentially the latest possible date for Quarter 1, 2016. Previously the game was announced for March 18, 2016, but the developers say they want to put it off longer for more “polish passes.”
Uncharted 4 has been hyped since it’s announcment in 2013, and even more with the recent release of the Nathan Drake collection, an HD transfer of the Playstation 3 games onto the Playstation 4, so this has brought on some disappointment. On top of that, not too much has been revealed about the game. A few cut scenes and some short gameplay footage is all that we’ve seen thus far of Uncharted 4, so it’s all a mystery that the world is anxious to crack.
Earlier this month the developers did conduct a beta test for the new multiplayer mode, but the feed back was ok at best. Not exactly the response you’re looking for with a game as important as the final chapter in the story of Nathan Drake. Hopefully these polishes that Naughty Dog has insisted on will make Uncharted 4 shine brighter than what we’ve seen so far; the potential is clearly there.
